Balencia has two connected sides. The Second Mind remembers and connects the context of your life. Cia Coach uses that context to talk things through with you and suggest a useful next step. Knowing the difference makes it easier to understand what Balencia is holding and why Cia gives a particular answer.
The Second Mind
The Second Mind is the part of Balencia that remembers and connects. It holds:
Memory: what you've told Balencia, and what Cia has learned about you.
Context: your Goals, Chapters, Notes, and Journal.
Sources: records from apps and devices you've chosen to connect, like WHOOP, Google Calendar, or Spotify.
Connections: links between records across your Chapters.
It works in the background. You won't talk to it directly, but everything Cia says draws on it.
Think of the Second Mind as the organised context behind your experience. It can bring a Goal, a recent Journal entry, a change in sleep, and an upcoming commitment into the same picture. That does not mean every record is related. When Balencia notices that two things changed together, it treats the connection as an association, not proof of cause.
The Second Mind uses only information you add or connect. You can review, correct, or remove records, and it never scores you or decides what matters.
Cia Coach
Cia is the name of Balencia's AI. Cia Coach is Cia in its coaching role, the part you talk to. Cia can:
Answer questions about your Goals, such as "What should I change first?"
Explain what seems to be getting in the way, and show the records behind the answer
Recommend a Plan, an Action, or a Habit
Check in with you on a schedule you choose
Follow your Progress and suggest adjustments
You can talk to Cia by app chat, voice, phone call, or WhatsApp.
You may see Cia Coach shortened to CC in the app.
Cia's answer depends on the context available. If you ask why a Goal feels difficult, Cia can look across the Chapters involved, explain which records informed the answer, and ask a follow-up question when something is unclear. You can also tell Cia that an answer does not fit. Correcting the context helps future guidance reflect your real situation more closely.
You stay in charge
Cia makes suggestions, and you make the decisions. It never creates, sends, schedules, or shares anything until you confirm it. You can open the evidence behind any answer, correct a record, or ignore a suggestion. An ignored suggestion stays ignored.
For example, the Second Mind might connect a late Schedule with shorter sleep. Cia can explain the pattern and suggest moving one Action earlier. You decide whether to use, edit, or ignore that suggestion.
This division keeps memory and coaching connected without handing over control. The Second Mind helps Balencia understand more of the situation. Cia makes that understanding usable in conversation. Neither side can make personal, health, financial, or sharing decisions for you.
