You can talk to Cia in four ways: app chat, voice, phone call, and WhatsApp. Each one reaches the same Cia, with the same Memory and the same Goals.
The four ways
Way to talk | Good for |
|---|---|
App chat | Typing a question in the app or on the web, and reading the records behind the answer |
Voice | Talking to Cia out loud, for example on a walk or while cooking |
Phone call | A longer spoken conversation with Cia. See How Do Coach Calls with Cia Work? |
Quick messages with Cia from WhatsApp, once you've connected it |
A conversation you start in one place is part of the same history everywhere. If you ask about your sleep Goal on WhatsApp, Cia remembers it when you open app chat later.
Channels are separate from style and schedule
Choosing where you talk to Cia doesn't change how Cia talks to you. That's your Cia communication style, such as warm or concise. When Cia checks in is your check-in schedule. You set each one separately.
Turning a way to talk on or off
You can turn channels on or off in your communication preferences. For example, you might keep app chat and WhatsApp on and leave voice off.
Go to Cia Coach.
Choose your communication preferences.
Turn each way to talk on or off.
Before you use voice or calls
Allow microphone access when your phone or browser asks. You can change this later in your device settings.
WhatsApp and your consent
Cia uses WhatsApp only after you connect it, and it doesn't send anything on your behalf without your confirmation. You can disconnect WhatsApp at any time.
